•The Sennheiser MKH 416T is a directional microphone intended for use in the studio. It has a super-cardioid pickup pattern, meaning that it only “listens” to sound at a very narrow angle relative to its head. This, coupled with how its membrane is designed, allows it to pick up only the sound of the voice that it is supposed to record while rejecting other sounds.
